One of the great advantages of being an Independent Valuer is that we have no "angle" or position to protect. We can just tell it how we see it without feeling obliged to support any particular part of the jewellery trade's interest.
Occasionally this can  make us a little unpopular.

  

So, here is a series of articles. They are not intended to be academic masterpieces but rather a note of our own views and beliefs, which may differ greatly from the trade norm. 
Some interesting and sometimes controversial subjects are covered and we hope they will offer some guidance and enlightenment to those that seek it.
